Learning Revolution: Taking the Classroom Back

23 Feb

This is about a fundamental revolution in how learning is done in the academy. The fundamental units of learning are:

1) the individual
2) the pair share
3) the small group
4) the class as a community
5) the person formally known as instructor as sherpa, guide, and counselor.
6) those outside the classroom (including local and international communities).

(i’m sure the above rubric could be changed slightly to reflect different teaching goals, orientations, and frameworks for understanding learning)
